Felt and thread on net
Illustrator Becki Kremer applied traditional embroidery stitches, combined with felt stitched onto transparent netting to create this textiles doublet. The doublet reads To her fair works did Nature link/ The human soul that through me ran/ And much it grieved my heart to think/ What man has made of man, taken from William Wordsworth’s ‘Lines Written in Early Spring’. The work was temporarily hung from branches in Central Forest Park.
